"We love GD’s Spanish and Care, which is an amazing program. First, our son attended the program for two years before he started Kindergarten, and now our three-year-old daughter is attending. The program teachers are well qualified and very caring, and our children always look forward to attending. The program Director, Marta, is an excellent educator and communicator with a graduate degree. Her approach with the children is well rounded. She is very energetic yet extremely patient, and she teaches the kids through play and art, customizing activities based on each child’s needs. They cover language, math, music, and play. One of our favorite parts of the program is the daily outdoor activities to the beach, Venice canals, or local parks, which lets the children explore their environment and learn. Children who attend the program pick up Spanish very quickly, in a natural way. The program also helped prepare our son for admission into a dual-immersion Spanish school, into which he tested as a native speaker – the GD team was with us every step of the way to ensure that our son received all of the support he needed. We very highly recommend the Spanish and Care program – the level of care and the quality of the program is unmatched in Los Angeles."

"My husband and I first were interested in enrolling our 1.5 year old daughter in the GD Preschool Program to help solidify her grasp of Spanish, as a bilingual speaker. However, within a few months it was clear she was receiving much more from the program than we expected. In the last year, with Ms Marta's help, our daughter was potty trained before the age of two, regularly concentrates on tasks for more than 30 minutes stretches, she can feed herself with very little mess, and her fine motor skills are above and beyond her age milestones. This and more we owe to Ms Marta who prides herself on customizing lessons for each student on a weekly basis, ensuring each child's consistent development with both math and language. "Our daughter Sarah has attended GD for three consecutive summers, and even virtually during the pandemic. Thanks to the team at GD she underwent an incredible transformation, we were repeatedly told by her teachers at her regular school that she seemed like a completely different child. We initially attended in order to improve her Spanish speaking fluency, she comes from an English / Spanish speaking household and always communicated with her native speaking mom in Spanish until she started to reply in English. What was interesting is that thanks to the guidance of Miss Marta, Sarah underwent a complete pedagogic intervention as they named it. Her Spanish improved greatly but her attitude and academic progress in other areas such as reading, writing and math was evident. In addition she resolved a number of behavioral challenges that were analyzed in extreme detail and passed along to us as parents in one to one meetings, the academic framework, the discipline combined with the physical education on daily trips to the beach, nearby parks and canals revealed a confident, sociable student open to learning. This was not only extraordinary, but combined with her progressive education at her regular school it allowed for a balance that supported all her strengths."

Incidentally we bonded deeply with some of the parents at GD and have met and socialized as a community.
